Tree Stand Ascend/Descend Safety Line

With Prussic Knot

Provides extra security while climbing into and out of your treestand. Thirty feet of 1/2 inch nylon rope with a 5000 lb breaking strength with a prussic knot made of 8mm prussic cord.

The following is the proper way of putting up the Treestand Ascend/Descend Safety Line with Prussic Knot. Always use the Lineman's Safety Rope while attaching your steps or ladder. Once you have reached as high up in the tree as you are going and before you put up your stand, attach the Treestand Anchor Strap and Carabineer at head height. Attach the Treestand Safety Line Loop to this carabineer and lock it. Next attach your Harness Tether Loop Carabineer to the Tail Loop of the Prussic Knot on the Treestand Safety Line. You are now double connected and more secure while putting up your stand. To descend the tree, slide the Prussic Knot down the Treestand Safety Line as you climb down, reverse this to ascend.

While climbing always maintain a three point contact with the tree ladder or steps. Meaning always have either both hands and one foot or both feet and one hand securely on the tree at all times. After you are back on the ground, pull the Treestand Ascend/Descend Safety Line tight and tie the bottom of it to the tree. This allows the Prussic Knot to slide easily up as you ascend your tree steps or ladder.
